It had been over a month since Hamna started university, and she hadn't made a single friend yet. Not that no one tried. Several girls had approached her, made small talk, even tried to include her. But Hamna, reserved and self-contained, never let those conversations go too far. And eventually, they stopped trying too.
As usual, she sat alone in the far corner seat, scribbling aimlessly in her notebook. Class hadn't started yet, so the room buzzed with noise, students lounging on desks, chatting loudly, some standing in groups.
